Summary

NOTE: Incentives for the program is only available for community associations and places of worship in Fairfax County in Virginia. Residential and commercial sector are not eligible for the Energy Conservation incentive, but may apply for Wastershed Conservation incentives. 

Northern Virginia Soil and Water Conservation District (NVSWCD) offers Conservation Assistance Program (CAP) which provides financial incentives for community associations and places of worship in Fairfax County to make energy efficiency improvements. 

Eligibility

The energy efficiency measures must be installed on community property or places of worship in Fairfax county. Individual homeowner property is not eligible for energy efficiency measures, but may apply for Watership Conservation Incentives. 

Program Description 

The program offers up to 50% of the cost of the project; the remaining 50% of the cost must be matched with the community contribution. Incentives are available for energy audit, and for energy efficiency improvements.  The incentives are limited to $750 for energy audit, and up to $5,000 for energy efficiency projects. Eliglible measures for energy efficiency project include- air sealing and insulation, HVAC and duct sealing, lighting, replace appliances, and other as recommended in the energy audit. 

Please contact the program administrator to apply for the program. The applications are due by September 15, 2016 for fall application, and February 15, 2017 for spring installations.
