Summary

The City of Danville provides a variety of energy efficiency rebates for eligible commercial and industrial customers. Rebates are awarded for lighting upgrades, lighting controls, LED exit signs, and other custom measures which reduce facility electric demand. Common upgrades involve motors, HVAC upgrades, lighting retrofits, and refrigeration measures; although other measures may also qualify. Custom upgrades to facilities are eligible for a rebate of $175/kw of demand reduced. Additional bonus incentive are available for measures which further these energy savings, such as lighting controls.

Energy efficiency project must achieve a minimum electric demand reduction of one kilowatt (kW) or control at least one kW of the commercial facility’s electric load to qualify for a rebate. Qualifying projects must apply for rebates within 90 days of installations. Customers on the following rate schedules are eligible for the program: Worship Sanctuary Service (Rate Schedule 15), Small General Electric Service (Rate Schedule 40), Medium General Electric Service (Rate Schedules 50, 55, 56) or Large General Electric Service (Rate Schedules 60, 65, 66) rate schedule.
