Summary

Garland Power and Light (GP&L) offers incentives to its residential, small commercial, and commercial customers to increase the energy efficiency of homes and facilities. Rebates for installing central air conditioning or heat pumps in already existing homes and businesses are available to residential and small commercial customers. Additionally, a separate lighting program is available to commercial customers who reduce their facility demand. Details on all offerings are available on the program web site.

Residential customers also qualify for rebates when they install high efficiency window air conditioning units with an ENERGY STAR Rating or make weatherization improvements to already existing homes. Eligible weatherization measures include: ceiling insulation up-grades, weather-stripping, caulking, ENERGY STAR windows and doors, window solar screens and film, duct insulation or replacement, duct leakage tests, and duct sealing. See respective rebate applications on the program web site for specific instructions and amounts. Contact Garland Power and Light for more information.
