Summary

College Station Utilities offers an incentive for residential customers to install energy efficient HVAC equipment through the Energy Back II Program. Rebates only apply for replacements in exsiting homes. To qualify for the rebate, the A/C system must be a minimum of 15 SEER or higher. Both the evaporator coil (inside unit) and the condensing unit (outside unit) must be replaced as a matching system as rated in the Air-Conditioning & Refrigeration Institute directory. Units must be installed in accordance with the current ICC building and City of College Station Codes, and the equipment and installation must be inspected by a City of College Station building inspector and approved by College Station Utilities Energy Conservation Division prior to payment of rebate.
