Summary

South Western Electric Power Company (SWEPCO) as part of its C&I solutions program provides various incentives to its commercial and industrial customers to save energy.

Eligibility

Rather than directly allocating the incentive amounts to the industrial or commercial customer, the program requires that the incentives are paid out to the Project Sponsors. Project Sponsor could be any third party, including energy companies, local contractors, local governments, and individuals. The project sponsors are reviewed by SWEPCO to make sure that they are competent to complete the proposed project. Host customers are the commercial or industrial facility who may choose to host a project developed by the project sponsor, or be project sponsor themselves.

Program description

The project includes estimated demand and energy savings at a non-residential commercial or industrial facility. SWEPCO does not specify eligible measures, which provides project sponsors flexibility to tailor their services to the facility’s needs. Most retrofit applicants that reduce electric energy consumption are eligible. Incentives for the energy savings are provided in the table above and are offered for first-year energy saved. Self generation, co-generation, behavior change programs, thermal energy storage are not eligible for the program.
